Looked after by The Kemp Family, for over thirty years.
Conifer Lodge is a private, family-run residential home for older adults in Wigston. It is owned and operated by The Kemp Family, who have looked after older adults in Leicestershire for over thirty years.
Chris Kemp is registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection, and is supported day-to-day by Amanda Simpson, our full-time Manager. Between them, Amanda and her team have many years of experience in the long-term care of older adults — and have learned that the right home strikes a quiet balance between independence and gentle support, alongside the simple companionship of other residents.
Conifer Lodge sits within a small group of two homes — Conifer Lodge here in Wigston, and Welford Court in Knighton. Both are owned by the same family, run by the same team, and answer to the same families.

Older adults arrive with a lifetime of their own routines. We support the parts where help is genuinely needed and stay out of the way for everything else.

A small team who know every resident by name and every family by voice. Continuity is what makes a home feel like one — and it's where most chains struggle.

Decisions made on-site
Conifer Lodge is run by The Kemp Family, not a head office. If a family asks a question about their relative, the answer doesn't have to travel.

Real life involves risk. We talk with residents and families about what good days look like, and build the support around that — not the other way round.
